Mehrnaz Akbari Roumani is an expert in the field of cybersecurity, with a robust academic and professional background spanning over a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a focus on Computer Applications from Khaje Nasir-al-din Tousi University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, both of which are among the top universities in Iran. After relocating to Australia, Mehrnaz embarked on her PhD journey at Murdoch University in Perth.
Mehrnaz’s career is marked by contributions to cybersecurity research and practice. She has been involved in various projects and has published four papers on topics related to cyber-attack analysis and cybersecurity value assessment. Her research interests are diverse and include cyber-attack modelling, risk assessment, and the economic implications of cybersecurity measures.
Currently, Mehrnaz is focused on Application Control and monitoring the network for real-time vulnerabilities. Her experience and academic background have enabled her to contribute to significant security programs, including Centralised Directory Services and Configuration Management. Mehrnaz has also taken on the important task of application control, ensuring the security and integrity of the network. Additionally, she has worked on reviewing new products and providing risk advice. Her expertise includes assessing the risk of non-compliance and identifying alternative options such as compensating controls.
