Andrew E Scott is a technology executive with over 25 years experience enabling organisations to respond to emerging technologies. He was Head of Telstra Labs until 2023, and has now founded his own consultancy Far Phase to uplift the technology skills and understanding of Australian boards. Over his career, he has developed quantum computing strategy within an ASX-20 company, served on the board of Silicon Quantum Computing, and written multiple quantum technology reports for a UK-based analyst firm. Recently, he developed the free Firefox web browser extension "Quantum Safety" to inform users when they are protected by post quantum cryptography online. Andrew has spoken on the cybersecurity implications of quantum at the Quantum Australia conference, and at events by Quantum Safe Alliance and the Tasmanian Quantum Network. He is passionate about raising the bar for technology in our region, and over his career has been privileged to work with organisations in diverse sectors such as finance, mining, logistics, agriculture, health, and government. He is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course, and a member of AICD, IEEE and AISA.
