Ben is a seasoned information security executive with over 25 years of experience in the field. For the last 21 years he was the CISO AU/NZ at Thales, a global leader in aerospace, defence, and security solutions. In that role, he was responsible for defining and implementing the information security strategy, policy, and standards across Thales in Australia and New Zealand, while also managing the complex challenges of national security and export control requirements. Ben recently moved to the Thales owned Tesserent cyber practice, as the Director - Cyber Security Industry Experience. Ben has a strong passion for the technical aspects of information security is also an expert in cybersecurity and risk management, applying his skills and knowledge to assess and mitigate the threats and vulnerabilities facing the organisation. He is a visionary leader who fosters innovation and collaboration, working across the breadth of the global organisation's capabilities and supporting small and agile technology start-ups. He is a frequent speaker and contributor at international and local conferences, seminars, and round tables, sharing his insights and best practices on information security.
