Claire has worked in information security for the past seven years, after a career in archaeology. Funnily enough, there are many aspects of governance, compliance and risk that overlap across disciplines. Claire has spent far too many decades to mention doing compliance and risk activities across the world, first in cultural heritage and now in information security. She started playing with computers in the early 1980s and has been involved with information security for almost as long without really realising it.
Her background gives Claire a unique perspective on issues in cybersecurity, particularly around compliance and risk.
Claire is a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and successfully completed the TafeCyber Essential 8 assessment course. Claire brings her years of experience helping clients to bear on providing clear and useful material in her talks. She has spoken at conferences over many years in many different parts of the world.
