Colin started his career in the late 90s as a hardware and firmware engineer, before moving to audit and assurance work in 2010. He worked with a global accounting firm for 10 years, including 5 1/2 years in the USA, before moving into industry roles. His most recent roles in Australia include leading the IT audit program and Acting Head of Internal Audit for an Australian insurance company, as well as Security GRC Manager for an Australian telco. His experience in audit and assurance includes working in both external and internal audit teams, covering IT, cybersecurity, SOX, ISO27001, service resiliency, financial and business processes.
His consulting experience includes working with mining, retail, government and technology companies, including leading multiple audit teams at US technology and social media companies.
As a former engineer and professional auditor, Colin brings a unique perspective on helping engineers prepare and work with external and internal auditors.
