Mr David Willett is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at La Trobe University. With over 12 years of experience in Cybersecurity, he brings deep expertise in leading security programs across government and industry. Prior to La Trobe, David held key roles at PEXA, where he led the IT Security team responsible for securing a platform serving over 8,000 members. He also managed Managed Security Services for multiple Australian Federal Government departments and financial institutions. David’s experience spans operational and strategic leadership, with strengths in IT service delivery, board-level reporting, stakeholder engagement, and leading large technical teams, including Security Operations Centres (SOC).
