
Elizabeth Rasnick is an Assistant Professor at the University of West Florida’s Center for Cybersecurity. Dr. Rasnick holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Longwood University, master’s degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, a graduate certificate in Modeling and Simulation, and a doctorate in Information Technology from Old Dominion University. In her role at UWF’s Center for Cybersecurity, she works with those seeking to upskill themselves into cybersecurity careers and those needing to learn how cybersecurity is part of their non-cybersecurity jobs. She is currently serving as the president for the Florida affiliate of Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS-FL).
Dr. Rasnick’s research includes investigating cybersecurity education, IoT cybersecurity awareness, and cybersecurity issues in critical infrastructure and supply chains. She has presented research and workshops at regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Rasnick often speaks to community groups about cyber essentials. Her passion project is being a foster mum to rescue dogs. She and her boyfriend, Pete, currently have three sweet rescue hounds, Ada, Callahan, and Daisy.
