Glen Mattocks

Glen Mattocks is a foundation Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) Assessor, conducting the very first IRAP Assessment in 2003, and has been active in the IRAP community ever since.

Glen has worked collaboratively with ASD to expand the program - being involved in some of the earliest assessments at higher classifications and conducting some of the early cloud assessments.

Prior to IRAP, Glen worked for the Australian Signals Directorate / Defence Signals Directorate (ASD/DSD) and helped shape the program.

For more than 20 years, Glen has provided advice and assistance to the Australian Government on information security and technology – targeting technical risks, exploits and how to defend against them. He has extensive experience working with federal and state Government Agencies and has completed IRAP assessments for Government Agencies, multi-national cloud service providers, small businesses and not-for profits.

Some of the major initiatives he has worked on include the Government's PKI program - Gatekeeper, the initial rollout of MyHealth Record, and major identity and authentication initiatives.

This talk will discuss IRAP and how IRAP assessors aim to make a difference to improve the cyber security and risk profile and posture of our clients.
