Ms Meera Kesari is an accomplished leader with over two decades of experience spanning business operations, technology, and cybersecurity risk management. She currently serves as the Head of Technology and Enterprise Operations Governance and Reporting at the National Australia Bank and has previously partnered with Fortune 50 organisations to design and implement integrated risk management and governance programs at a global scale. Her commitment to advancing the discipline is further reflected in her academic engagement as an adjunct professor at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, where she taught core principles of risk management to postgraduate students.
In her current leadership role, Meera oversees the end-to-end design, piloting, implementation, and global deployment of sustainable and automated risk management processes. Her work focuses on building foundational integrated risk management programs that align business functions and capabilities with key supporting elements, including technology, cybersecurity, and third-party suppliers. This includes developing comprehensive approaches for risk profiling, fit-for-purpose control selection, and risk-based assessment and prioritisation to inform response, monitoring, and reporting strategies. Under her direction, organisations have achieved significant efficiency gains, reducing both costs and operational effort, by eliminating redundancies and harmonising fragmented program components. Moreover, these initiatives have measurably advanced the maturity of enterprise risk programs and strengthened alignment with the Three Lines Model, enhancing both governance and accountability across functions.
