Mischa Tanne is a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at Skylight Cyber Security with extensive experience in governance, risk, and compliance engagements. With a background spanning government and private sectors across APAC and EMEA regions, Mischa delivers business-focused security solutions that provide practical value.
Prior to joining Skylight, Mischa served as a Security Advisor at Trustwave, working with government, public, and private clients. His expertise includes developing security frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and performing ISO 27001 and NIST CSF maturity evaluations.
Mischa has also operated as a virtual CISO for numerous clients, translating complex technical insights into strategic recommendations for executives. His approach consistently emphasizes business-led cybersecurity advice to uplift organizational maturity in practical ways.
A featured speaker at the 2024 AISA Melbourne conference, Mischa actively contributes to the cybersecurity community. He serves as Treasurer for DownUnderCTF, the largest capture the flag competition in the Southern Hemisphere, which attracted over 4,600 registered users and 2,100 teams in 2024.
Mischa holds dual Bachelor degrees in Economics (with majors in Econometrics and Financial Economics) and Arts (majoring in Political Economy) from the University of Sydney. His professional credentials include ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, CompTIA Security+, Foundation Level Threat Intelligence Analyst from arcX, and ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity.
