Peter Nikitser is a seasoned Information Security consultant and Enterprise Security Architect with over 35 years of experience, starting his working career as an internal financial auditor, moving into Information Technology and stepping quickly into Information Security. Peter has had a diversified career, working in oil & gas, consulting firms, government, service providers and building out the portfolio of training courses and trainers for a cybersecurity training company.
Peter is a founding member of AUSCERT, established in 1993, and SL-CERT, established in 2006. He has been Branch executive for the Queensland AISA in 2003 and 2009. He served on the Board of Trustees for The SABSA Institute from 2017-2021. He was also an IRAP Assessor from 2014-2023.
He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Australian Directors (GAICD), SABSA Master (SCM), Master of Information Technology (QUT), Bachelor of Science (ANU) and holds certifications from ISC2, ISACA and PECB.
