Phil is a dedicated educational leader with over 15 years’ experience in Metropolitan, Country, and Remote high school settings. As a foundation member at Joseph Banks Secondary College, he played a key role in the school’s expansion and the opportunities it provides. Phil is committed to fostering excellence in WA’s public schools, ensuring students and staff have access to high-quality learning and career pathways.
Currently serving as Director of the Western Australian Space Science Education Centre (WASSEC), Phil is at the forefront of shaping education in STEM, space industry, and cyber pathways. His leadership in these areas is helping WA students gain access to emerging career opportunities and industry connections.
Previously, Phil has led whole-school initiatives in Positive Behaviour Support, Instructional Practice, Aspirant Leadership, and Coaching programs. As an Associate Principal, he has overseen the academic growth of students, the WA Future Leaders Framework, and Student Council. His expertise in pathway support and mentoring ensures that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the future workforce.
