Roy Akerman is the co-founder and former CEO of Rezonate, a company acquired by Silverfort, where he currently serves as Vice President of Identity Security. In his current role, Roy leads Silverfort's specialized Go-To-Market (GTM), Advisory, and Professional Services initiatives.
A recognized expert in identity cybersecurity, Roy previously founded and commanded a national cyber defense unit equivalent to the U.S. Cyber Command. Under his leadership, this unit pioneered advanced technologies designed to detect, counter, and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats.
Over the past decade, Roy has successfully developed industry-leading threat detection and response solutions focused on cloud, SaaS, and identity security. His achievements include the founding of Rezonate, recognized by Gartner as a Cool Vendor for its innovation in identity security.
Roy holds degrees in Psychology and Computer Science from prominent Israeli universities, alongside additional qualifications in Business and Data Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
