
Zubair Baig is currently an Associate Professor, Cyber Security, with the School of Information Technology, Deakin University, Geelong, VIC, Australia.
He also serves as the Lead, Cyber Security Researcher Engagement and Impact, Strategic Centre for
Cybersecurity Resilience and Trust (Deakin CYBER). Baig has previously led postgraduate cybersecurity course design across several universities and is also a CISSP.
He has authored/coauthored over 135 journal and conference papers and book chapters and has got 4 patents on cyber security technologies. His research interests are in the areas of cyber-security, industrial IoT, machine learning, digital forensics, and optimisation algorithms. He has delivered more than 30 keynote talks on cyber-security. He was nominated for the AISA Researcher of the Year Award in 2022.
He has over 23 years of experience in cybersecurity R&D and is a known to deliver cutting-edge cybersecurity research and innovation projects at the highest levels of quality and community impact.
